MANOR HOUSE
Remodel and refurbishment of an historic Cotswolds Manor House, an exquisite Grade II listed property, having secured planning permission for the extensive works.
This historic residence features a Georgian core dating back to the 18th century, later enhanced with mid-19th century additions. A classic English country house surrounded by serene gardens, it posed a unique architectural and heritage challenge.
The team here at CMD drew up detailed plans to transform the manor while preserving historic features. The plans included restoring original Georgian proportions, reinstating a traditional turning circle, refurbishing interior spaces, and modernizing services—all sensitively integrated under listed‑building regulations.
This is a significant project for heritage architecture in the region. The project balances the demands of modern living while honouring an important historic legacy. It highlights our team’s skill in bespoke, high-quality design rooted in local context—a hallmark of our Cotswold-based practice.
